Window furnishings for health in Wellington by Quicksew.
Quicksew was chosen to work on Western NSW Local Health District's palliative care refurbishments, supplying curtains, pelmets and furniture for the Wellington facility. The client brief was to create a homely environment for patients and their families, achieved by offering printed high-spec vinyls and healthcare-grade fabrics from Materialised that comply with strict infection control requirements. Clients were guided to select colours and patterns of their choice with Quicksew's assistance.
Quicksew supplied, made and installed the window furnishings throughout this project - measured, manufactured in our Bathurst workroom and fitted by our own team.
Completed in May 2023, the result was a warm, home-like interior that feels comfortable and far less clinical than a typical hospital environment.
