The Problem We Solve

Cold Winters and Scorching Summers Are Costing You Money, Your Windows Are Why

Most homes were built without thermal performance in mind. Large windows, even double-glazed ones, bleed heat in winter and let it pour in during summer. Your heating and cooling systems work overtime to compensate, your energy bills reflect it, and you're still not comfortable. Standard blinds and curtains help at the margins. They don't solve the underlying problem.

Honeycomb blinds, also called cellular blinds, have a unique cross-section that traps a layer of still air between the fabric and the glass. That air layer acts as insulation. In winter it keeps warmth in; in summer it blocks heat gain. The difference in comfort is immediate, and the reduction in energy use adds up quickly. Made and installed by our team, sized precisely to your windows.

Frequently asked questions

Are honeycomb blinds good for insulation?

Yes. Honeycomb (cellular) blinds are the most insulating window furnishing of all. Their hollow, honeycomb-shaped cells trap a layer of still air across the window, which slows heat escaping in winter and entering in summer. That can make a real dent in heating and cooling costs.

What's the difference between honeycomb and pleated blinds?

A honeycomb (cellular) blind has hollow air cells that insulate the window. A pleated blind uses similar concertina fabric without the air cell, so it has a slimmer, lighter look with less insulation. Choose honeycomb for warmth and energy savings, pleated for a trimmer profile.

Are honeycomb blinds worth it for cold climates?

Yes. In cold-climate rooms the trapped-air cells hold warmth at the glass through frosty nights, which makes honeycomb blinds a strong choice across the Central West. Blockout cells darken a bedroom while still insulating, and a double-cell blind gives the highest insulation.

What is a top-down/bottom-up blind?

It's a honeycomb blind you can lower from the top as well as raise from the bottom. So you can let daylight in through the top of the window while keeping privacy below. It's a popular option for street-facing rooms and bathrooms.
