Quicksew has been making custom blinds, curtains and shutters for Central West homes since 1977, and we travel out to Molong. A village with a strong heritage main street and many character homes, set in the rolling country between Orange and Wellington, Molong runs through warm summers and cold tableland winters. Every piece is cut and sewn in our Bathurst workroom to suit your windows and your home's age, then measured and installed by our own team, with fabric samples brought to your door.
Molong sits high in the tablelands and the winters bite. A lined blockout curtain holds the warmth in a period home with high ceilings and draughty sashes, and softens the look of a character room at the same time.
Honeycomb blinds trap a layer of air at the glass, so they're the most insulating choice for a cold Molong room. They take the edge off the heating bill through winter and clear the glass to almost nothing in summer.
The village has a lot of older homes. Basswood shutters made to the exact reveal give them a warm, classic finish that suits period windows and adds a layer against the cold when closed.

We do both. Quicksew’s own team measures, makes and installs everything, with no subcontractors. A measurer comes to you, your order is made in our Bathurst workroom, then our own installers fit it and check it operates correctly before they leave — one accountable team from first measure to final fit.
Yes — everything is made to measure. Your windows aren’t standard, so neither is what we make for them. We measure to the millimetre, sew to that measurement in Bathurst, and hang it square, so a Quicksew blind sits flat, a curtain pleats evenly and a shutter closes flush.
Yes. Quicksew is a family-owned, Australian-made manufacturer, and every blind, curtain and shutter is cut and sewn to measure in our Bathurst workroom. Nothing is imported flat-packed or pulled off a shelf — we control cutting, sewing and hardware assembly in-house.
