Quicksew is a family-owned window-furnishings business, hand-sewing curtains and custom-making and installing blinds and shutters for the Central West since 1977, and we travel out to Wellington. Set where the Macquarie and Bell rivers meet, with its well-known caves and a strong stock of older homes, Wellington sees warm summers and cold valley winters. Your curtains are cut and sewn in our Bathurst workroom to fit your windows, your blinds and shutters are custom-made to order, then measured and installed by our own team, and we bring the fabric samples to your door.
Wellington has a lot of older homes with tall sashes and high ceilings. A made-to-measure lined curtain fills those windows properly: warmth through a cold valley winter, and the western summer sun kept off the room.

We do both. Quicksew’s own team measures, makes and installs everything, with no subcontractors. A measurer comes to you, your order is made in our Bathurst workroom, then our own installers fit it and check it operates correctly before they leave — one accountable team from first measure to final fit.
Yes — everything is made to measure. Your windows aren’t standard, so neither is what we make for them. We measure to the millimetre, sew to that measurement in Bathurst, and hang it square, so a Quicksew blind sits flat, a curtain pleats evenly and a shutter closes flush.
Yes — everything is made to measure for your windows. Our curtains, sheers and soft furnishings are cut, sewn and finished in our Bathurst workroom. Our blinds and shutters are custom-made to order using premium Australian and international hardware, specified to your window and installed by our own team.
