Quicksew has been making custom blinds, curtains and shutters since 1977 as a family-owned, Australian-made manufacturer. Rose Bay's harbourside homes and apartments enjoy strong water views and bright, reflective light, with salt air a constant, so window furnishings need to soften glare and add privacy while keeping that outlook. We make every blind, curtain and shutter to your exact openings in our workroom and install with our own team, with a finish chosen to suit your home and its harbour setting.
With strong water views, the brief is always the same. Soften the bright reflected light off the harbour without losing the outlook. Full-height sheers do exactly that, with a lined blockout behind for bedrooms and privacy after dark.
On the harbourfront, salt air is relentless. Powder-coated aluminium shutters are waterproof and rust-resistant, so they hold up where timber and cheap hardware corrode. Tilt the louvres to manage glare while keeping the view.
A sheer roller cuts the reflective midday glare while keeping the water outlook, and a blockout roller behind gives privacy and a dark bedroom. Clean against the glass, on cordless or motorised controls.

We do both. Quicksew’s own team measures, makes and installs everything, with no subcontractors. A measurer comes to you, your order is made in our Bathurst workroom, then our own installers fit it and check it operates correctly before they leave — one accountable team from first measure to final fit.
Yes — everything is made to measure. Your windows aren’t standard, so neither is what we make for them. We measure to the millimetre, sew to that measurement in Bathurst, and hang it square, so a Quicksew blind sits flat, a curtain pleats evenly and a shutter closes flush.
