Measured, Made & Installed
Made in our Bathurst workroom and fitted by our own team, we travel to Canowindra homes with fabric samples, measuring and installing across the Central West since 1977.
Quicksew is a family-owned, Australian-made manufacturer making custom blinds, curtains and shutters for the Central West since 1977, and we travel out to Canowindra. Known for its heritage-listed curved main street and ballooning country on the Belubula River, Canowindra blends historic cottages with rural homes and sees hot summers and crisp winters. We measure your windows, cut and sew every piece in our Bathurst workroom, then install with our own team, bringing fabric samples to your home so there's no showroom trip.
Canowindra's curved heritage street is lined with character cottages, where nothing standard fits the older windows. Shutters made to the exact reveal suit them. Basswood for warmth inside, aluminium where the western light is harsh.
For homesteads and rural blocks out toward Cargo and Nyrang Creek, a properly lined curtain does real work. It holds warmth on a crisp Belubula-valley night and keeps the western sun off the good furniture through summer.
Verandahs are where country homes live half the year. Shade mesh, canvas or clear PVC turns an exposed verandah into a usable room: shade in the January heat, shelter from the wind off the river flats.
The everyday workhorse for bedrooms and kitchens. Blockout to darken a room against the early summer sun, light-filtering to keep the glow without the glare. Made to each window, fitted by us.

No drive to a city showroom. We bring the fabric samples to your kitchen table so you choose colours in your own light, then measure on the spot.
We know what a Canowindra summer does to cheap fabric, and what a valley winter asks of a lined curtain. We spec accordingly.
Older cottages have windows where no two are the same. We measure each one and make to it, so shutters sit flush and curtains hang square.
The people who measure your windows are the people who sew the order in Bathurst and come back to fit it. One business to call, since 1977.
We measure and install across Central West NSW — Bathurst, Orange, Dubbo, Mudgee, Lithgow and surrounding districts — plus Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs and Lower North Shore, such as Double Bay, Mosman, Vaucluse, Bondi and Rose Bay. Not sure if we reach you? Call (02) 6332 2144 and ask.

We do both. Quicksew’s own team measures, makes and installs everything, with no subcontractors. A measurer comes to you, your order is made in our Bathurst workroom, then our own installers fit it and check it operates correctly before they leave — one accountable team from first measure to final fit.
Yes — everything is made to measure. Your windows aren’t standard, so neither is what we make for them. We measure to the millimetre, sew to that measurement in Bathurst, and hang it square, so a Quicksew blind sits flat, a curtain pleats evenly and a shutter closes flush.
Yes. Quicksew is a family-owned, Australian-made manufacturer, and every blind, curtain and shutter is cut and sewn to measure in our Bathurst workroom. Nothing is imported flat-packed or pulled off a shelf — we control cutting, sewing and hardware assembly in-house.
