Measured, Made & Installed
Made in our Bathurst workroom and fitted by our own team, we travel to Oberon homes with fabric samples, measuring and installing across the Central West since 1977.
Quicksew is a family-owned, Australian-made window-furnishings manufacturer serving the Central West since 1977, and we travel up to Oberon. One of the coldest towns in the state, set high among pine forests near the Jenolan Caves, Oberon sees frost, snow and long cold winters, so warm, well-fitted curtains and quality blinds are a real comfort. We measure your windows, cut and sew every piece in our Bathurst workroom, then install with our own team, bringing fabric samples to your home.
In a town that sees frost and snow, the honeycomb blind earns its place. Its air cells are the most insulating of any window furnishing, so they slow the heat that escapes through cold glass on an Oberon night. Want the most insulation possible? Go for a double-cell blind.
A heavy, properly lined blockout curtain is the classic defence against an Oberon winter. It holds warmth in, keeps the draughts out, and gives the living room a soft, finished look. Thermal linings make the biggest difference of all.
A pelmet closes the gap above a curtain where warm air leaks out. It's a small detail, and in a cold-climate home it matters a lot. We spec the pelmet and track with the curtain so the whole window seals properly.
A blockout-lined roman brings fabric warmth to a bedroom or study and takes up very little space. Soft to look at, and another layer against the cold when it's down.

Across the wider Central West
Oberon is one of the coldest towns in NSW. So we lead with insulation: honeycomb, lined curtains and pelmets that hold warmth at the glass and take the edge off the heating bill.
No drive down the mountain to a showroom. We bring the fabric samples to your home, compare them in your own light, and measure on the spot.
Insulation only works if the furnishing is fitted snug to the reveal and the gaps are closed. Our own team installs it, so it seals the way it should.
We measure, sew in Bathurst, and come back to fit. One family business, accountable from the first measure to the final fit.
We measure and install across Central West NSW — Bathurst, Orange, Dubbo, Mudgee, Lithgow and surrounding districts — plus Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs and Lower North Shore, such as Double Bay, Mosman, Vaucluse, Bondi and Rose Bay. Not sure if we reach you? Call (02) 6332 2144 and ask.
Book a free measure and quote and we come to you. We measure your windows, bring fabric samples so you can see colours in your own light, talk through styles, and give you an exact, no-obligation price. We do both. Quicksew’s own team measures, makes and installs everything, with no subcontractors. A measurer comes to you, your order is made in our Bathurst workroom, then our own installers fit it and check it operates correctly before they leave — one accountable team from first measure to final fit.
Yes — everything is made to measure. Your windows aren’t standard, so neither is what we make for them. We measure to the millimetre, sew to that measurement in Bathurst, and hang it square, so a Quicksew blind sits flat, a curtain pleats evenly and a shutter closes flush.
Yes. Quicksew is a family-owned, Australian-made manufacturer, and every blind, curtain and shutter is cut and sewn to measure in our Bathurst workroom. Nothing is imported flat-packed or pulled off a shelf — we control cutting, sewing and hardware assembly in-house.
