Most suppliers of aged-care and healthcare furnishings are based in the capital cities. For a facility in regional or country New South Wales, that means a supplier who travels in, treats your site as a one-off job, and leaves any warranty or adjustment work for the next visit. It also often means long lead times, a disconnect between the sales team and the installers, and window and soft furnishings that were specified for a metro environment rather than one that operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Quicksew is different. We are based in Bathurst in the Central West of New South Wales, and we service aged-care and healthcare facilities across regional and country NSW ourselves, with our own team. That means the same people who measured the job are the ones who made the furnishings and installed them, and the same team is accountable for the result.
An aged-care or healthcare facility has specific requirements that a general domestic supplier cannot always meet. Window furnishings need to be durable enough for frequent cleaning with hospital-grade products. They need to control light and privacy in bedrooms and assessment areas without creating cord or fabric hazards. And they need to work properly, every day, without the facility having to chase a supplier in another city for a replacement or a fix.
We make roller blinds, blockout curtains, sheer curtains, Roman blinds and motorised systems that are all specified to the demands of a healthcare or aged-care environment. We use fabrics that are easy to wipe clean, we avoid cord mechanisms where they present a risk, and we build and install to a commercial standard. We do not send a domestic product and hope it holds up.
We install across a broad area of regional NSW, including the Central West, the Riverina, the Hunter Valley, the New England tablelands, the South Coast, and country areas across the state.
