Nuclear medicine facility
Window furnishings for a world-leading nuclear medicine facility, built by BESIX Watpac.
A high-tech Molybdenum-99 manufacturing facility at Lucas Heights that gives ANSTO the capacity to meet more than a quarter of the world's demand for this life-saving radioisotope, used in over 45 million nuclear-medicine procedures each year. The facility almost tripled ANSTO's Mo-99 manufacturing capability, with safety and security the number-one priority.
Eighty-eight Verosol twin roller blinds, plus chain-drive blinds through both stages — twenty-nine to the first floor, twenty-seven to the ground floor, eleven to the west side in Stage 2, and four twin sets. Every blind scheduled room by room against the drawings, which is the only way a facility like this gets done. Secure and technical facilities are a specialist lane in our Sydney work.
The facility positions Australia as a world leader in nuclear medicine. Quicksew's window furnishings fit out the administration and amenity areas, managing glare and privacy for staff.
