Nuclear medicine facility
Window furnishings for a world-leading nuclear medicine facility, built by BESIX Watpac.
A high-tech Molybdenum-99 manufacturing facility at Lucas Heights that gives ANSTO the capacity to meet more than a quarter of the world's demand for this life-saving radioisotope, used in over 45 million nuclear-medicine procedures each year. The facility almost tripled ANSTO's Mo-99 manufacturing capability, with safety and security the number-one priority.
Quicksew supplied and installed the window furnishings throughout this project, built by BESIX Watpac. Our blinds and curtains were specified and fitted to suit each space, controlling glare and heat, managing privacy and protecting the interiors, while sitting cleanly within the architecture so the design leads.
The facility positions Australia as a world leader in nuclear medicine. Quicksew's window furnishings fit out the administration and amenity areas, managing glare and privacy for staff.
