NSW Ports had outgrown their existing workplace at Port Botany. The brief was a new environment reflecting the scale and permanence of their operations, a high-performing, light-filled space that could meet complex waterfront site conditions and support future growth.
Single and twin chain-drive roller blinds throughout, pairing Status 5% Transparent — a tight screen weave that holds the view over the port while cutting glare — with Yang Blockout behind it where rooms needed to go dark. Tear-drop base rails with bumper, back-rolled, on stainless chain. The blockout layer came in as a variation once the fit-out was underway, and we cut blinds down on site to suit the final openings. One of a run of workplace fit-outs we have delivered around Sydney.
The finished 3,100m² workplace is built for scale and collaboration, with a strong connection to its harbourside setting. Quicksew's window furnishings keep the floor comfortable and glare-free across the day while preserving the sweeping views over the port.
