Window furnishings for health in Canowindra by Quicksew.
Part of Western NSW Local Health District's palliative care refurbishments, Quicksew furnished the Canowindra facility with twin roller blinds, printed vinyls, lounges, cushions, tables, window-seat cushions, bed throws, artificial flowers, artwork and wall vinyl. The brief was to create a homely environment for patients and their families, achieved with printed high-spec vinyls and Australian designer and indigenous-design fabrics from Materialised suited to healthcare and compliant with strict infection control criteria. A striking 3500mm x 2800mm wall vinyl featured an image by local photographer Chris Watson of Farmpix Photography.
Quicksew supplied, made and installed the window furnishings throughout this project - measured, manufactured in our Bathurst workroom and fitted by our own team.
Finished in May 2023, the facility revealed a cosy, inviting interior with a homely feel, distinct from the sterile atmosphere typically associated with hospitals.
