Library & gallery
Window furnishings for an award-winning library-gallery, built by Zauner Construction.
In the centre of Wodonga, the Hyphen Library-Gallery features a prominent 15-metre first-floor gallery cantilevered over the town-square entry. Three main galleries and a 330m² open-air sculpture terrace connect to a ground-floor library via a bespoke spiral steel staircase beneath a skylight that floods the space with natural light. Built by Zauner Construction, the landmark won the 2023 MBA NSW Riverina Murray Award for Excellence in Commercial Construction.
Quicksew supplied and installed the window furnishings throughout this project, built by Zauner Construction. Our blinds and curtains were specified and fitted to suit each space, controlling glare and heat, managing privacy and protecting the interiors, while sitting cleanly within the architecture so the design leads.
Today Hyphen is the landmark of Wodonga's Town Square. Quicksew's window furnishings manage the abundant daylight across the galleries, reading rooms and workshop studios, protecting collections and softening the light without hiding the architecture.
