Window furnishings for 20 affordable living units, built by Hines Constructions.
'The Brickworks' is a development of 20 single-storey, one- and two-bedroom affordable living units in Bathurst, delivered by Hines Constructions for Housing Plus and built to the Silver Level of the Liveable Housing Design guidelines. Heritage touches, salvaged bricks re-laid in the front fence, feature verandah arches and false chimneys, sit alongside modern kitchens, open-plan living, enclosed yards and carports. The project won the 2021 MBA Award for Medium Density (5 or more dwellings).
One hundred and eighty-seven single chain-drive roller blinds in Vibe, colour Terrace — to every window in the units bar the bathrooms and laundries — with white base rails and brackets on stainless chain, eight per unit across units 7 to 14. We also supplied twenty-nine Series 61 curtain rods with crown finials, run 200mm past the sliding doors on one side so curtains stack clear of the glass. A Bathurst project, measured and made ten minutes from the site.
